Bitcoin was introduced in 2009 by an unknown person called Satoshi Nakamoto. To this day, nobody knows who is behind that name. The first real Bitcoin purchase in 2010 was two pizzas for 10,000 Bitcoins. Those would be worth over 600 million dollars today.
