Which river carries the most fresh water per second worldwide?
The Amazon
Background
The Amazon in South America carries more water into the sea per second than the next seven largest rivers combined. It brings about 200,000 cubic meters of water per second into the sea. The fresh water can still be felt hundreds of kilometers out in the Atlantic. Some sailors have even drunk from the sea there.
