Which planet is most similar to Earth in size and mass?
Venus
Background
Venus is almost exactly the same size as Earth and also has a similar mass. Many people think of Mars because of the red deserts, but Mars is smaller. On Venus though it is extremely hot, over 460 degrees Celsius. The reason is the thick atmosphere of carbon dioxide that acts like a blanket.
