When Howard Carter opened the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922, he found over 5,000 objects. Among them was a solid gold mask weighing 11 kilograms. The young pharaoh was only nine years old when he became king. He died at around 19 years old. His tomb is the most famous in the world.
