In which country was the 1922 film Nosferatu made?

Germany

Background

Nosferatu is a German silent film by director Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau. It is considered one of the first horror movies ever. The studio did not have the rights to the novel Dracula by Bram Stoker. So they changed all the names and were sued anyway. Almost all copies were supposed to be destroyed, but a few survived.
