The classic Casablanca was shot in about 70 days in 1942. During filming the actors did not know how the movie would end. Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman acted in front of a painted backdrop at a Los Angeles studio. No one had been to Morocco. The film won three Oscars and is still considered one of the best of all time.
